We co-founded Book Buddies to share our love of reading with everyone. Reading books was a daily family routine that began when we were infants and continued as we learned to read on our own. You could rarely find either of us without a book in our hands. The love for reading was also nurtured and supported by our school’s media specialist who introduced us to many wonderful books. It was an annual family tradition to compete in and win the Accelerated Reading contests throughout primary and middle school, each of us reading more than 100 books each school year. We also had a blast competing on our school's Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Teams. We started Book Buddies to share our love for reading and inspire others to develop a lifelong love of reading. We hope you will join us as a Book Buddy, a volunteer reader, book donor, or financial supporter. We look forward to connecting with you! |
